Sewage smooth-wall pipes |
Advantages of PVC-U sewage pipes |
» considerable resistance to many chemical substances; » complete resistance of external surfaces to corrosive and destructive impact of ground water (do not require protective coats); » smooth internal surface provides resistance to formation of internal sediments, clogging and reduces the liquid flow resistance; » easy to lye and assemble, which is due to their length, small weight and the type of joints; » long service life of pipes; » tight connections prevent any sewage filtration to the ground (ensures protection of environment), as well as ground-water filtration into the piping (that affects the cost-effectiveness of the construction and operation of the sewage treatment plants); » low weight of the pipes, more than ten times smaller than that of its substitutes (concrete, stoneware, cast iron); » high resistance to wear.

Application |
Construction of sewage, sanitary, combined sewer and rainwater systems, for non-pressurized transport of sewerage.
Joining: - standard option: socket connection, push-in joint, - upon an order, K-type, glued joints, diameters of 100-200mm.
Depending on the socket design two types of PVC-U sewage pipes may be distinguished:
P – a pipe with rectangular socket groove, outer diameters of 110-500 mm W – pipe with an oval socket groove, outer diameter of 630mm

Joint |
» Joint with gasket
Clean the pipe socket and place the gasket in the dry groove with the thicker part backwards. To facilitate this the gasket can be pressed to form the “8”-shape. Then, clean the outer surface of the bare pipe end, apply talcum or SILPASTA R to decrease friction, join the pipe section by pushing the pipe into the socket to a required depth. Detailed data on joining and lying the pipe sections is provided in the Instructions listed below.
» Glued joints
Gluing of PVC-U pipes requires an aggressive glue. The pipe surfaces to be glued should be degreased with methyl chloride. Make sure that the surface is clean and dry prior to glue spreading. Use a brush to spread glue starting from the deepest end of the socket. Glue should be spread uniformly. The entire glue spreading operation should not last longer than 1 minute. Once glue is spread, the elements to be joined are pressed into each other until you can feel resistance. Remove excessive glue immediately after joining. The joined elements should not be moved for 5 minutes after the joint is made.
